The "Summer Vacation Parent-Child Eco Class," co-hosted with Katsushika City since 2013, continued online even during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this year, the 12th session was held in person.
Ten groups of 20 elementary school students from 3rd to 6th grade and their parents participated, playing with toys, taking an eco-quiz, and creating their own eco-karuta cards as a parent-child activity, inspired by the eco-initiatives of Katsushika City and TOMY.
Participants’ Comments

I learned a lot about things like the Eco Toy mark and I want to tell my friends about it.
It was fun. I created a masterpiece, so I want to show it to everyone!

It was good to learn that you are engaged in eco-friendly activities with familiar products.
I think it was good for my child to learn about the environment in a relatable way.
Hearing the valuable stories about the toys was truly inspiring. It made me realize how much thought goes into the toys that children interact with from infancy, and now I feel motivated to try harder with my own eco-activities.
This year, we will again co-host an eco-event for elementary school students with Katsushika City.
Last year, it was held online, but this time it will be held in person.
Participants will discover eco-friendly practices from environmentally conscious toys called "Eco Toys" and have fun learning about the eco- initiatives of Katsushika City and TOMY.
We are also planning a tour of the archive room at our headquarters, which displays the history of toys.
