Experienced management team

  • In fiscal year 2018, we appointed female directors, and in fiscal year 2019, we ensured that outside directors comprised a majority of the board.
  • From fiscal year 2020, we increased the number of female outside directors by two to three, and we continue to maintain a majority of outside directors.
  • In June 2024, Akio Tomiyama assumed the position of Representative Director and President, marking the start of a new management structure.
  • In June 2026, we transitioned from a company with a board of corporate auditors to a company with an audit and supervisory committee.

We have organized our approach to contributing to society through our business activities, referencing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Moving forward, we will strive to ensure that our group's business itself contributes to society more than ever before.

  • Accessible-Design Toy

    In 1990, TOMY Company, Ltd. advocated for "Accessible-Design Toy," toys for the general market that are "considerate" so that they can be enjoyed regardless of whether or not there are visual or hearing impairments. This initiative has now spread throughout the entire toy industry.

  • safety quality

    In line with the global expansion of our products, we strive to ensure safety and quality in each country by complying with the laws and regulations of each region. In addition, we have established our own safety and quality standards as a group, and we are working to prevent accidents by setting stricter standards. Furthermore, once a year, we hold training sessions for all employees, both domestically and internationally, led by the safety and quality department, on product safety, quality, and management, in order to promote awareness and understanding of its importance.

    TOMY Company, Ltd. was a pioneer in the industry, starting its "Eco toys" initiative in 2011, where it displays its own environmental label, the "Eco toys" mark. We aim to create toys that are mindful of the global environment and to help children, who will shape the future, become more environmentally conscious through toys. Furthermore, we were the first company in the toy industry to obtain the Eco Mark.
