Sustainability Vision

Approach to Realizing Our Vision

The TOMY Group has set five main pillars from “Our passions,” which contributes to improving the well-being of society, including customers and employees, and “Our responsibilities,” which is the fulfillment of the Group's corporate social responsibility, in order to realize its Sustainability Vision. We have made promises for each of the five pillars towards 2030 as we promote sustainability initiatives in line with the 11 materialities we have identified.

We aim to create “excitement, surprise, inspiration, and smiles” for people of all ages, from children to adults, as well as “excitement for the future,” through our toys and Asobi. We will promote the bonds between families and local communities and contribute to the sustainable well-being of society, based on our philosophy of co-existence and co-prosperity with local communities.

We place great importance on improving the well-being of our employees in order to improve the well-being of our customers and to continuously create Asobi content that is loved around the world. We aim to create an organization where all employees can achieve sustainable growth on their own. We will strive to improve employee well-being by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and human resource development in the workplace in order to maximize individual performance and encourage the birth of innovative ideas.

We make particular efforts in managing toxic chemical substances that require careful consideration of their impact on health and the environment. We aim to improve customer satisfaction through the creation of the highest quality Asobi and responsible marketing communications.

We aim to build a circular economy for toys and Asobi by promoting response to climate change and the eco-conscious design of products and packaging throughout the entire value chain of our Group in order to protect an environment where children can play with a smile even 100 years from now.

We act as proud adults in front of children, with an awareness of compliance, and promote sustainable procurement management to prevent misconduct, environmental destruction, and human rights violations throughout the entire value chain. We manage intellectual property (IP) to improve our corporate value, while promoting risk management to avoid harming our corporate value. We also promote sustainability-based management throughout the TOMY Group.
